The computer I wanted was available and I was able to order it immediately. It is now sold out. I paid $200 more than I thought I would get it for from a major retail outlet (advertised as "check availability") but it turned out not to be available in-store and disappeared from their site before I could order. Thanks to Googles insured, no signature delivery service, I was able to have it directed to the managers reception in my apartment complex, even though I was out of town at the time. It worked properly as soon as I turned it on and syncs seamlessly with my desktop Win 10 machine. After a few weeks some problems developed with drivers for sound and GEForce 940M. NVidia + Computer Alliance helped me sort out that I needed to install Java v8.111 and restrict access to GEForce, and download drivers from the NVidia web-site. Finally I found that my modem wasn't supporting the capability of this computer. However, it is responding appropriately. This has been my best supported purchase experience. Not necessarily the easiest, but this is the most complex home network configuration I've had and all the licensing supports the apps that I use. All in all, I could not have asked for more.
Nice one ASUS, Nice one Alliance, and Nice one Google Trusted stores.
